The fine print

Privacy

This website is simple on purpose. It counts visits only to learn what helps, and I only see what you choose to send me.

What this website collects

Very little. The site does not use advertising tags or tracking pixels, and it does not ask you to create an account. It uses Google Analytics to count visits (below). The outside pieces are the email sign-up form, which comes from my email service and loads from its servers (it may use that service's own cookies to work), and the contact form's spam check (see below).

The site remembers, in your own browser, how you arrived: a campaign link, the site that sent you, and the page you landed on, for up to 90 days. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you send the contact form, which includes it so I know how you found me.

I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages help, and how people find the site. It sets cookies and records the pages you view, your approximate location, device and browser, how you arrived, and actions such as starting or sending a form, never what you type. Google processes this data, and I see it only as totals, never who you are. Google’s advertising features are off: the data isn’t used for ads or sold. Read how Google uses data from sites that use its services, or turn it off with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Like every website, the pages are delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare), whose servers briefly process technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. I do not use that information to identify you.

The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser also contacts Google's servers when you visit.

When you contact me

When you send the contact form, what you send (your name, organization or event, email address, phone number if you give one, and message, and whether you'd like the newsletter) goes to my email and contact service, GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), and is stored there and shared with my firm, The Change Up Group. It is used to reply to you, to follow up about working together, and to send the newsletter if you ask for it.

To keep out spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks in your browser that a person, not a program, is sending it. It looks at technical details such as your IP address and browser for that check only. The form sets no cookies.

Whatever you send me (by the form or email), The Change Up Group and I use only to respond and to work with you. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list without asking.

The email sign-up

The sign-up form comes from my email service, GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), and your browser loads it from their servers on the pages that show it. If you sign up, your first name and email address are stored with GoHighLevel and used only to send these emails. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Questions or requests

To ask what I hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email Ksteffen@thechangeupgroup.com.
